I’m a Wellington muso with a passion for music and videography. Traveller was created as a mobile business to accommodate for musicians and creatives all around New Zealand.
I grew up in small town Feilding near Palmerston North. While growing up, music was really only present on long road trips up north, listening to Westlife, Backstreet boys and Robbie Williams. Then in high school I had two friends who played guitar and I wanted to jam with them. I didn’t want to be the third guitarist, so I figured I’d play bass! Later I started recording music that I had written and fell in love with recording, mixing and live sound engineering. I’ve been obsessed ever since.
It was only recently that I started videography. I was working for Rubber Monkey and we had a rental department, which we could borrow high-end equipment from and learn how it works! I combined that with my music and started making live video sessions. These are still my favourite kind of project.
I never really considered myself a videographer until my partner in crime (and life!) over at jaymeephotography.com suggested we become a photo/video duo. We shot our first wedding together and I loved it! Nowadays I try my hand at anything video related. During winter, you’ll often find me running video and camera mixing for live events and broadcasts.
